Senior Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney - Atlanta Direct Counsel is seeking a Senior Real Estate Finance Associate to join a globally recognized, full-service law firm in its Atlanta office. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned real estate attorney to work on complex, high-value transactions across a broad range of asset classes within a collaborative and sophisticated practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in commercial real estate finance along with a well-rounded background in acquisitions, dispositions, and development. Key Responsibilities
Represent lenders, investors, developers, and owners in connection with:
Acquisitions and dispositions
Commercial real estate financings
Leasing and development projects
Draft and negotiate key transactional documents, including:
Purchase and sale agreements
Commercial leases
Development agreements
Financing documents
Manage transactions from initial structuring through closing, including:
Title and survey review
Due diligence coordination
Zoning and land use considerations
Entity structuring
Advise clients on construction, development, and joint venture arrangements
Support clients with ongoing asset management and operational matters
Mentor junior associates and help manage deal workflow
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 years of sophisticated real estate experience
Significant experience in commercial real estate finance (required)
Lender-side finance experience strongly preferred
Experience handling a mix of acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and development matters
Prior law firm experience required
Strong academic credentials
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
Licensed and in good standing with the Georgia Bar
