Responsibilities:This position contributes knowledge of pharmacy practice, safe medication use, clinical decision making, and an understanding of health information technology to guide and lead in the design, usability, and optimization of the medication management within the electronic health record, medication alerts and decision support, automated dispensing cabinets and integrated smart pumps. This role is instrumental to safe medication strategy related projects ensuring data quality, best practices, and avoiding medication related harm. Collaborates with healthcare executives, providers, pharmacists, nurses and other key stakeholders to improve multifaceted workflows and to implement efficient technology solutions that improve patient safety and end user experience. This role will work closely with the informatics leadership, pharmacy leadership, nursing, IS applications, quality, business intelligence, clinical decision support teams and other healthcare professionals.
