We are seeking a Senior System Engineer II (JBOSS) in Pocatello, Idaho to be responsible for design, deployment, testing, certification, patching, addressing interoperability issues, not only of the base JBOSS components but also all features, components and application dependencies to support our mission focused law enforcement customer.
This position will be responsible for the following:
Responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing support of the JBOSS Infrastructure.
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all JBOSS environments. This position is considered the final tier before vendor support is initiated. (4th level)
Create and maintain JBOSS infrastructure for both bare-metal and virtual machines
Provision/configure required JBOSS servers.
Evaluate, improve, and maintain the information security throughout the JBOSS infrastructure.
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks, such as automated provisioning storage with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
Migrate JBOSS from one OS or platform to another platform (i.e. migrate from SuSE or z/OS to Linux or Windows)
Document system configurations to include passwords, access controls, version number, and revision numbers, patch levels, and inventory to include hostnames, TCP/IP addresses, number of processors, and number of cores, memory, and license keys.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent amount of experience
JBOSS Certified Application Administrator (RHCJA) or the ability to obtain the certification within 6 months of hire.
5+ years of experience with JBOSS or similar application administration
Active Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain polygraph
Successful track record of proactive problem solving.
Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a team environment.
This position requires the candidate to already have a current TS security clearance and to maintain the clearance and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
