This role serves as the primary relationship owner for adefined portfolio of institutional clients and prospects, with accountabilityfor client satisfaction, retention, and asset growth. The position isresponsible for deepening existing client relationships, identifyingopportunities to expand services and assets under management, and supportingnew business development efforts aligned with Wespath's OCIO offering.

The role partners closely with Investment Management, ClientService, Analytics, Compliance, and Marketing to deliver a high-quality,fiduciary-focused client experience throughout the full client lifecycle-fromprospect engagement and onboarding through long-term relationship managementand renewal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and grow a defined book of institutional clients and prospects, serving as the primary relationship manager while actively prospecting, qualifying, and advancing new opportunities through the full OCIO sales cycle.
  • Proactively build and manage a robust sales pipeline, originating new nonprofit prospects and guiding them from initial engagement through due diligence, finalist presentations, and closing.
  • Lead sales-oriented client and prospect meetings, including investment committees and boards, effectively articulating Wespath's OCIO value proposition, competitive differentiation, and mission-aligned investment approach.
  • Drive new asset growth and long-term retention by deepening relationships, identifying expansion opportunities, and positioning Wespath to win mandates in a competitive OCIO landscape.
  • Lead and coordinate RFPs, proposals, finalist presentations, and onboarding, partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver compelling, accurate, and differentiated responses that convert prospects into clients.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of the OCIO industry, including key competitors, market trends, and buyer decision drivers, and consistently position Wespath's nonprofit, faith-based, values-aligned model to win.
  • Partner cross-functionally with investment, marketing, and operations teams to align sales strategy, messaging, reporting, and service delivery across the entire client lifecycle.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador for Wespath, leveraging conferences, nonprofit networks, faith-based and mission-driven events to generate leads, expand brand awareness, and support long-term growth initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop IIS analysts and specialists, reinforcing sales discipline, client-centric thinking, and an understanding of how their work supports prospect conversion and client growth.

Tuition reimbursement and other development opportunities

The compensation range for this position is $163,000-$195,000 with a bonus opportunity and customary benefits. Final compensation will be based on the hired applicant's qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and as such, may fall outside the range shown.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree infinance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field, or equivalentrelevant professional experience.
  • Five to ten (5-10)years of relevant professional experience in institutional investing, clientrelationship management, business development, or a comparable senior client-facingrole.
  • Strong technologyproficiency, including advanced use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel,PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI-enabled toolsand large language models (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GPT-based tools, Claude) toenhance research, analysis, communication, and productivity.
  • Experience using CRMplatforms (e.g., Salesforce or similar systems) to manage prospects, trackpipeline activity, document client interactions, and support disciplined salesand relationship management processes.
  • Exceptional written,verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicatecomplex investment concepts and persuasively present to senior leadership,boards, and investment committees.
  • Strong relationship-building,consultative selling, and influence skills, including experience managingcomplex, multi-stakeholder client relationships and guiding prospects andclients through evaluation and decision-making processes.
  • Advanced Excel andPowerPoint skills, with experience developing analytical materials, salespresentations, and client-facing deliverables for institutional audiences.
  • Experience withinstitutional client reporting and portfolio management platforms, such asPARIS, Addepar, or similar performance measurement and reporting systems.
  • Relevantprofessional experience within an OCIO, investment consulting firm, assetmanager, or related institutional investment organization, or experience in acomparable senior investment, finance, treasury, or client-facing role within anonprofit or mission-driven organization.
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experienceworking with custodians and institutional portfolio data, including holdings,transactions, and cash-flow files, and hands-on expertise with institutionalreporting and analytics platforms such as PARIS (Investment Metrics), Addepar,or comparable systems. This individual brings a strong understanding ofinstitutional client management and sales processes, including prospectdevelopment, onboarding, ongoing relationship management, and retention, and iscomfortable using CRM platforms such as Salesforce to manage pipelines,document client interactions, and support disciplined relationship management.Preferred candidates will have prior experience within an OCIO, investmentconsulting firm, or asset manager, or relevant experience in a comparableinvestment, finance, or client-facing role within a nonprofit or mission-drivenorganization. Strong presentation, persuasion, and relationship-building skillsare essential, along with the ability to leverage modern technology-includingAI-enabled tools-to enhance research, client communication, and productivity.
