Educational Interpreter

Duties: The sign language professional is responsible for supporting the student in all classroom activities, which includes providing language access during all times of the day. Consulting with the general education teacher and the Deaf education teacher are also priorities to understand the needs of the student.

Requirements: Illinois paraprofessional license required; Preference will give to candidates with sign language experience or willingness to learn and complete on the job training from the Teacher of the Deaf.
