Structured Finance - Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities, Senior Analyst - Chicago

In this role, you will support the RMBS team in analyzing credit, legal and structural aspects of residential mortgage-backed transactions. You'll collaborate with senior analysts on transaction analyses, run cashflow models, and contribute to reports and market commentary. You will present reviews at rating committees and help refine ratings criteria, supporting Fitch's independent credit opinions. This is a hands-on position in a collaborative, learning-focused culture with meaningful impact on RMBS ratings.

• Analyze credit, legal and structural elements of RMBS transactions
• Assist in developing ratings criteria and accompanying reports
• Produce internal and external written reports and market commentary
• Communicate Fitch's rating methodology to issuers and investors
• Deploy and maintain cashflow models and tools used in rating
• Lead and/or support research projects
• Maintain assigned rating relationships
• Present transaction analyses at rating committees

• Bachelor
• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in capital markets, mortgage markets, and/or credit analysis is a plus
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
