Franciscan Ministries in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Dishwasher to support our mission of serving adults with developmental disabilities. The Dishwasher ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming kitchen by washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment according to health and infection-control standards. This role helps keep meal service running smoothly, maintains orderly work areas, handles trash and recycling, and supports kitchen staff as needed—all within a faith-inspired, respectful, and person-centered environment. Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and cookware to health and safety standards Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment Ensure kitchen work areas, floors, and trash/recycling areas are clean and organized Follow infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures in a healthcare setting Restock clean items in designated areas to support meal service Assist with basic kitchen prep and meal service as needed Report equipment or supply issues to supervisor promptly Work respectfully around residents and staff, supporting a calm, caring environment Dishwashing and sanitizing procedures Operation of commercial dishwashing equipment Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation Understanding of infection control practices Handling and disposal of trash and recyclables Basic kitchen and food prep assistance Time management in a fast-paced kitchen Following written and verbal instructions Teamwork in a food service environment Basic equipment and supply troubleshooting Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Food handler or food safety certification preferred Ability to stand, lift, and carry items throughout shift Willingness to follow infection control and safety protocols Background check as required for healthcare settings5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
