Job Description1. Accountability for successfully onboarding new clients and communicating with members about their pharmacy benefits. Sponsoring and leading partnerships with clients and internal business teams to understand client requirements and execute project plans to successfully implement new business. 2. Accountability for the teams that own and manage pharmacy benefits relationships, benefit operations, clinical designs and membership data management for clients, across all lines of business (Commercial, Med D, Medicaid, Health Exchanges) and market segments (Employer, Health Plan, Government), to ensure complete, accurate and timely delivery of plan sponsor services and member communications. 3. Leadership across several business units to build high-performing teams and develop talent, by ensuring the appropriate operating model and organizational design, strategic agenda with goals and incentives and the selection and development of talent, to ensure institutional success in meeting the Client Services charter.4. Establish and lead key initiatives to improve quality while lowering cost of service through continuous process improvement and strategic initiatives that innovate and differentiate CVS Caremark services for our clients.5. Partner with the Sales, Account Management and other business units to sponsor and drive strategic client relationships, to ensure the satisfaction and loyalty of these customers and support profitable growth. 6. Partner with other PBM Executive Committee members to establish an overall PBM budget and engage in a leadership capacity in our operating and capital expense management processes to ensure that we meet or exceed our financial objectives.Required Qualifications1. Pharmacy and health care services knowledge2. Strong program leadership and process management skills3. Client executive relationship management skills4. Strong technology and business operations skills5. Strong financial management skillsBusiness operations experience at multiple levels of leadership in a large-scale business-to-business (B2B) setting, ideally in Health Care or Financial Services industries.Technology delivery and operations experience at multiple levels of leadership in a related industry, with focus on software development and engineering functions.Professional Services experience in an Outsourcing, Consulting or related field that provides robust client facing experience.Senior leadership and executive roles in large organizations, with P&L; accountability.Preferred Qualifications The Client Services organization is uniquely positioned as both a business operations organization, with accountability to the PBM President as well as the Chief Information Officer and EVP of Business Operations, to whom this role reports directly. The leader of this organization will ideally possess a blend of Technology and Business Operations skills and experience, which will enable operational excellence and innovation in a role that is in transition from a manually-oriented operating model to a systematized operating model.
