Encompass Health's Van Matre Rehabilitation Hospital is looking for a dedicated Dietitian to join our team. This role focuses on developing nutrition plans and overseeing the nutritional health of our patients. The Dietitian will work directly with patients recovering from serious injuries and illnesses, adapting diets to meet individual health needs and enhance their recovery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical dietetics and be passionate about using nutrition to improve patient outcomes in a rehabilitative environment. Assess patient health needs and diet restrictions to develop customized nutrition plans. Counsel patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and modify nutritional plans as needed. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate care plans. Participate in research and remain updated with advancements in nutritional science. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Excellent knowledge of human nutrition and dietetics. Ability to communicate complex information clearly. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with dietary assessment tools and software. Compassion and empathy for patients.
