Air Export Coordinator | Itasca, Illinois | Hybrid working arrangement This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented freight forwarding professional to join a growing operation, managing air export shipments from initial booking through to final delivery while providing a high level of customer service. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of international air freight operations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment. Compensation & Benefits Salary up to $68,000, depending on experience. Bonus opportunity in addition to base salary. Hybrid working arrangement offering a balance of office and remote work. Key Responsibilities Coordinate air export shipments from initial quotation and booking through to final dispatch and billing. Prepare and process export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, air waybills, and other relevant shipping paperwork. Arrange bookings with airlines, negotiate rates where appropriate, and secure competitive pricing. Coordinate with customers, overseas agents, airlines, trucking companies, and other service providers to ensure timely shipment movement. Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, export requirements, and relevant customs procedures. Monitor shipment milestones, track cargo movements, and proactively communicate updates to customers. Resolve operational issues, delays, and documentation discrepancies efficiently. Prepare quotations, manage customer enquiries, and maintain strong customer relationships. Ensure all shipment files are accurately maintained and updated within the company's operating system. Complete shipment billing and invoicing accurately and within required timeframes. Requirements Previous experience in air export operations within an international freight forwarding environment. Strong knowledge of air freight export procedures, documentation, and international shipping requirements. Experience coordinating shipments with airlines, overseas agents, and transportation providers. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency with freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office.
