Position Overview
Leo Brown Group is seeking a highly motivated Real Estate Development & Finance Analyst (or Associate based on experience) to join its growing team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is extremely driven, analytical, and eager to gain broad exposure across both real estate finance and development operations.
The position will work closely with the finance & capital markets team as well as the development team, providing hands-on experience in financial analysis, capital structuring, investor relations, entity administration, market research, land procurement, entitlements, design coordination, project budgeting, and overall development execution.
This is a unique opportunity for a candidate interested in real estate development to learn the full lifecycle of a project while contributing directly to active transactions and developments.
Key Responsibilities
The Analyst will support a wide range of real estate development and finance activities, including:
Finance, Capital Markets, Investor Relations & Administration
- Prepare and maintain financial models for acquisition, development, and investment opportunities.
- Assist with underwriting new development projects, including revenue assumptions, operating projections, development costs, financing terms, and investor returns.
- Support debt and equity capital markets processes, including lender / investor materials, due diligence requests, and transaction analysis.
- Assist with investor relations activities, including investor onboarding, investor communications, and responding to investor-related information requests.
- Help maintain the investor portal, including organizing project documents, updating investor materials, and ensuring information is accurate and current.
- Support quarterly investor reporting, including gathering project updates, financial information, performance metrics, and preparing other materials for investor communications.
- Assist with entity formation and administration, including coordinating documentation, tracking entity information, and maintaining organized records.
- Support ongoing compliance matters, annual filings, registered agent coordination, business license tracking, and entity renewals.
- Assist with the delivery and tracking of investor tax documents, including Schedule K-1s and related communications.
- Conduct market research, comparable project analysis, demographic studies, and competitive assessments.
- Assist in preparing investment committee materials, project summaries, lender packages, investor presentations, and internal presentations.
- Track project-level budgets, sources and uses, cash flow forecasts, and key return metrics.
Development Operations
- Support land procurement efforts, including site research, broker outreach, landowner tracking, and opportunity screening.
- Assist with due diligence coordination for potential development sites, including zoning, utilities, environmental, title, survey, and entitlement-related items. Procure and compare bids from professional services firms.
- Investigate and manage entitlement timelines, municipal submissions, public hearing preparation, and consultant coordination.
- Participate in design and development meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Support project management efforts through budgeting, scheduling, reporting, and document organization.
- Assist with coordination between development, finance, construction, operations, and external partners.

Qualifications
- 0–3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor's degree required; finance, real estate, accounting, civil engineering, construction management, business, or a related field preferred.
- Strong interest in real estate development and capital markets.
- Finance major or strong financial coursework is a plus.
- Experience with a commercial real estate brokerage, real estate investment firm, development company, lender, or related business is a plus.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to build, interpret, and maintain financial models, or a strong willingness to learn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and desire to take ownership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
