FCN Bank Branch ManagerDepartment: Retail Branch Job Status: Full-time FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: VP, Retail Branch Director Positions Supervised: Yes Amount of Travel Required: Local travel as needed Work Schedule: Monday-Saturday, based on branch scheduling, with occasional evening and weekend events Position Summary The Branch Manager is responsible for the leadership, customer service, growth, and operational performance of the assigned FCN Bank branch. This position develops employees, builds customer relationships, supports deposit and revenue growth, and maintains effective branch operations and internal controls. The Branch Manager creates a welcoming, professional environment for customers and employees and serves as a visible representative of FCN Bank in the community. Working with retail, lending, mortgage, treasury management, and other Bank partners, the Branch Manager connects individuals and businesses with appropriate financial solutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Branch Leadership and Employee Development
  • Establish clear expectations for customer service, operational accuracy, relationship growth, compliance, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Supervise assigned branch employees, coordinate work assignments, and maintain appropriate staffing and management coverage.
  • Coach employees, provide regular feedback and recognition, and identify training and development needs.
  • Complete timely, constructive performance evaluations and follow through on individual and branch goals.
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, cross-training, performance management, and corrective action in coordination with Human Resources and retail leadership.
  • Review staffing needs and provide documented compensation recommendations through the Bank's established approval process.
  • Communicate Bank updates, departmental requests, and procedural changes clearly and promptly.
  • Promote a respectful workplace that reflects FCN Bank's core values of Family, Community Minded, Ownership, and Excellence.
Customer Service and Relationship Growth
  • Provide courteous, prompt, accurate service and set consistent customer service expectations for the branch.
  • Open deposit accounts and provide ongoing account support in accordance with Bank procedures.
  • Assist customers with debit cards, online banking, bill pay, and other available services.
  • Identify customer needs through relationship conversations and recommend appropriate products, services, or referrals.
  • Collaborate with lending, mortgage, treasury management, commercial lending, and other Bank partners to meet customer needs.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and correspondence and resolve concerns within assigned authority.
  • Coach employees to recognize relationship opportunities and make qualified referrals.
  • Support established branch goals for deposits, customer retention, and relationship growth.
Branch Operations, Risk Management, and Compliance
  • Oversee daily branch operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff assignments, and required internal controls.
  • Perform or oversee assigned audits and cash controls involving teller drawers, teller stations, the ATM, vault, and other branch assets.
  • Monitor adherence to branch security procedures, including camera checks, alarm testing, and access controls within assigned responsibility.
  • Ensure employees follow applicable Bank policies, procedures, and banking requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering, information security, privacy, and suspicious activity escalation procedures.
  • Report suspected fraud, suspicious activity, security incidents, customer complaints, and other significant concerns through appropriate Bank channels.
  • Maintain branch readiness for audits and reviews and follow through on corrective actions within assigned responsibility.
  • Identify operational problems and recommend practical improvements while maintaining appropriate controls.
  • Coordinate equipment and facility concerns with the appropriate departments to maintain a safe, professional, and functional branch.
Community Involvement
  • Represent FCN Bank professionally at community, civic, charitable, and business activities.
  • Participate consistently in relevant market organizations, such as chambers of commerce and service clubs.
  • Develop relationships with community members, local businesses, and referral sources.
  • Attend assigned community and business events, including occasional activities outside normal branch hours.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Complete required training and maintain knowledge of Bank products, services, systems, and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties related to the position as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold employees accountable.
  • Strong customer service, relationship-building, and consultative sales skills.
  • Knowledge of branch operations, deposit products, internal controls, and banking procedures.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions within assigned authority and Bank policies.

  • Ability to analyze information, identify problems, and implement practical solutions.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and remain professional under pressure.
  • Accuracy, adaptability, initiative, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to understand branch performance information and use it to guide priorities and employee coaching.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook, and the ability to learn Bank systems.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required; a business-related field of study is preferred.
  • At least five years of banking experience preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or branch leadership experience preferred.
