Join Pride Health as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) at Indianapolis, IN! This is a 6 months contract role (with high possibility of extension pr conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.


Role:Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46219

Job Type: 6 Months Contract + Possible Extension or Conversion

Shift Schedule:

1. Day shift and evening shift, all shifts (may vary), EST

  • Training: Day Shift
  • Regular Shift: Evening (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) or Night (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM)

Hours per Week: 40 hours/week

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Highlights: $28-32/hour (Based on years of experience)

Experience with LC-MS or ICP-MS is strongly required


The hiring team is mainly seeking candidates with strong general laboratory experience, specifically with:

  • Vitro analyzers
  • Siemens systems
  • Sysmex XN analyzers
  • Blood Bank experience


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform specimen handling, processing, and analysis using approved laboratory procedures
  • Conduct high-complexity testing and ensure accuracy of results
  • Review, validate, and release laboratory results
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation
  • Perform proficiency testing per regulatory standards
  • Troubleshoot testing/reporting issues
  • Escalate complex technical issues when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety regulations
  • Follow all established laboratory procedures and policies


Experience:

  • 1+ year clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing
  • Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) preferred
  • General clinical lab background strongly preferred
  • Blood Bank experience highly preferred


Candidate Requirement:

Local candidates within 30-35 miles of Indianapolis, IN only.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform specimen handling, processing, and analysis using approved laboratory procedures
  • Conduct high-complexity testing and ensure accuracy of results
  • Review, validate, and release laboratory test results
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all testing and results
  • Perform proficiency testing in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting test performance or reporting
  • Escalate complex problems to senior technologists or supervisors as needed
  • Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and all safety regulations
  • Follow established laboratory policies and procedures at all times

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • Strong preference for degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field

Experience:

  • 1+ year of clinical laboratory experience (high-complexity testing)
  • Experience with LC-MS (Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry) or ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry)
  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)

Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
