Norton Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Mastectomy Fitter to support patients of Norton Cancer Institute in Louisville, KY. In this on-site role, you will assess post-mastectomy patients, take accurate measurements, and fit breast prostheses, bras, and compression garments to optimize comfort, symmetry, and mobility. You will educate patients on product use and care, ensure accurate documentation and insurance requirements, and collaborate with oncology teams. Conduct patient assessments and measurements for post-mastectomy fittings Select and fit breast prostheses, bras, and related garments for comfort and symmetry Educate patients on product use, care, and post-surgical support options Document fittings and products accurately in compliance with billing and regulatory standards Coordinate with oncology, surgery, and rehabilitation teams on patient care plans Maintain inventory of prostheses, garments, and fitting supplies Ensure a compassionate, dignified, and confidential patient experience Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA standards in all interactions Mastectomy fitting techniques Breast prostheses and post-surgical garment knowledge Patient assessment and measurement DME/orthotic documentation Insurance and prior authorization basics Infection control and HIPAA compliance Electronic health records (EHR) Patient education and counseling Inventory management Interdisciplinary care coordination Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Mastectomy Fitter (e.g., ABCOP, BOC) State licensure or registration if required BLS/CPR certification preferred Experience with durable medical equipment (DME) billing and documentation5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
