The Gund Company Inc., a family-owned manufacturer of engineered electrical and mechanical insulation materials, is seeking a Utility Operator II. In this hands-on role, you’ll operate and monitor production equipment, handle and stage materials, perform basic machine setups and adjustments, and inspect products for quality. You’ll follow detailed work instructions, complete production and safety checks, and support continuous improvement. This position works in a safety-first, team-oriented environment with opportunities to learn advanced materials, cross-train, and grow your manufacturing career. Operate and monitor manufacturing and utility equipment per work instructions Stage, move, and handle raw materials and finished goods safely Perform basic machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers Inspect parts and materials for quality, documenting results Follow all safety procedures, housekeeping, and PPE requirements Record production data and complete required paperwork or system entries Assist with routine equipment checks and minor troubleshooting Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement activities Manufacturing equipment operation Material handling Basic machine setup and adjustment Quality inspection and measurement Reading production work orders Basic mechanical aptitude Safety procedures and PPE compliance Use of hand and power tools Forklift or pallet jack operation Basic computer/data entry for production records Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) OSHA safety training (preferred) Basic mechanical or manufacturing training/certificate (preferred)5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
