Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Veterinary Assistant role based in Frankfort, KY. The Veterinary Assistant will be responsible for assisting our veterinarians with animal care, supporting pet owners with education and guidance, maintaining exam rooms and equipment, and ensuring the health and welfare of patients. Additional responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, managing pet records, assisting in running tests, and aiding in day-to-day operations to facilitate a seamless experience for both pets and their families.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in animal care techniques, including handling, feeding, and monitoring animal health
• Enthusiasm for continued learning
• Strong Customer Service and Client Education skills to address pet owners' questions and provide clear health guidance
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in maintaining accurate patient records
• Physical ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes
• Experience in Veterinary Medicine, including familiarity with medical procedures and basic veterinary terminology is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent; veterinary technician certification is a plus
