Your expertise will help guide and support non-certified teachers by offering direct assistance with IEP development, data collection, instructional strategies, progress reports, and overall best practices. You'll play a critical role in ensuring students receive the tailored instruction and services they need to thrive. Key Qualifications: Active Louisiana Department of Education Certificate with Special Education (SPED) endorsement (required; no exceptions) Experience in special education instruction, IEP writing, and collaborating with diverse teams Demonstrated skill in supporting and mentoring staff on instructional techniques, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision making Ability to adapt quickly and work flexibly in multiple school environments Must complete district-specific credentialing, including fingerprinting, drug testing, and background screening Primary Responsibilities: Itinerant support across assigned schools within the district throughout the academic year Provide direct guidance to non-certified teachers in special education classrooms Lead or assist with IEP creation, implementation, and compliance Analyze data and support consistent progress reporting Offer practical coaching and professional development to school staff as needed Foster an inclusive environment in line with district standards and policies This is a rewarding opportunity to make a district-wide impact while working within an energetic, supportive educational community.
