Director, Finance AI & Automation

In this role you drive the design, build, and deployment of AI capabilities within SharkNinja's global Finance organization. You will personally build production AI agents and automations that impact planning, closing, control, and decision-making across FP&A, Accounting, Internal Audit, SOX, Tax, and Treasury. You lead an AI-enabled finance transformation at scale, balancing speed with governance and auditability. Your work shapes gross margin, headcount productivity, and enterprise value while ensuring safe, auditable automation.

• Own the end-to-end Finance AI and automation roadmap from opportunity to production deployment and measured outcomes
• Build and ship AI agents and automations yourself, maintaining hands-on leadership at the Director level
• Define and deliver the value case for the capability in terms of gross margin dollars, headcount productivity, and enterprise value
• Deploy and prioritize automation across FP&A, Accounting, Internal Audit and SOX, Tax, and Treasury based on financial impact
• Create and manage the Finance agent register and control tiering framework with defined owners and audit-ready evidence
• Establish engineering standards for finance automation including version control, testing, change management, access control, data lineage, and human-in-the-loop design
• Ensure automated processes use governed financial dimensions and align with SOX requirements
• Collaborate with Digital Technology, Data, and external partners on platform selection and ERP/EPM integration (Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM)
• Lead and develop a small team of finance technologists and transfer capability wider in the organization
• Assess build vs buy alternatives and advocate for the most differentiated approach

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field
• 8-10 years of progressive experience blending Finance and Technology
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents and automations with measurable outcomes
• Experience owning financial processes end-to-end in FP&A, Accounting/close, Internal Audit or SOX, Tax, or Treasury in a public company
• Proven ability to lead technical delivery and mentor engineers or analysts
• Track record of quantifying and defending financial impact of technology investments to executives
• Experience in fast-paced, matrixed global organizations
• Judgement on when to automate and when to apply human controls in a public company environment
