Qualifications:

Experience: Prior experience in quality assurance or manufacturing is preferred.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedural documentation.
Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate situations with limited standardization.
Adept at interpreting a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Familiarity with manufacturing software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
Strong organizational abilities and the capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Position Overview:
Client is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting all products within our operations and conducting rigorous testing procedures during and after manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. This role requires a proactive approach to quality assurance, working independently and collaboratively with various departments to uphold our commitment to excellence in product quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings and diagrams, collaborating with management and engineering teams to establish quality and reliability standards.
Conduct dimension inspections of raw materials finished parts, and tooling, ensuring compliance with specifications using callipers, gauges, and other necessary tools.
Coordinate compliance with applicable standards, including ISO 9000 and customer-specific requirements.
Review non-conformance in products and processes, recommending appropriate actions such as modifications to processes, products, or quality assurance standards.
Select products for testing and inspection at critical stages in the production process, evaluating dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
Record and maintain inspection logs by part number and department, and create inspection data sheets for each lot of inspected materials and tooling.
Recommend adjustments to quality assurance plans, tolerances, and process control procedures to ensure compliance with specified quality standards.
Conduct receiving inspections and testing on purchases as required, ensuring all incoming materials meet quality expectations.
Utilize standard mechanical instruments, functional gauges, test rigs, and other testing equipment effectively.
Process relevant documentation including process tags, rework tags, and nonconforming material documents.
Complete Corrective Action Reports to document and address quality issues.
Educate and instruct production personnel on recommended quality requirements and standards.
Provide technical expertise and share knowledge with other operational team members.
Maintain open lines of communication with all departments, ensuring quality standards are understood and met.
Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
