POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing skilled childcare to children who enroll at Kids Care Plus. The Teacher will implement daily activities that promote learning, independence, and social interactions.

• Provide skilled childcare to toddlers and children aged two through twelve years.
• Reinforce lessons presented by the Lead Teacher by reviewing material with students one-on-one or in small groups.
• Teach simple drawing, painting, craft, and language skills (e.g., songs)
• Actively participate in recreational play and teaching activities.
• Engage with children by applying knowledge of childhood development, including learning behavior and physical, mental, and emotional development.
• Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers.
• Observe and monitor children’s play and interactive activities.
• Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits
• Assisting in preparing and serving children’s meals, snacks, or beverages
• Attending to the hygienic needs of the children (including changing diapers)
• Maintain MSDE yearly COK clock hours.

• Be at least 19 years of age
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent education
• 90 clock hours or equivalent of approved early childhood coursework

• Have at least one (1) year of experience working with preschoolers in an approved setting
• Three (3) hours in ADA Compliance
• Nine (9) clock hours of approved training in communicating with staff, parents, and the public
• Have dependable transportation
