Director of Religious Education

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director Of Religious Education to lead and oversee our religious education programs in Washington Township, MI. The ideal candidate will be passionate about faith formation, possess strong leadership skills, and have a deep understanding of religious education principles and practices.

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive religious education programs for all age groups.
• Recruit, train, and support catechists, volunteers, and staff involved in religious education.
• Collaborate with clergy, parish staff, and community members to promote faith formation initiatives.
• Ensure curriculum aligns with doctrinal teachings and meets the spiritual needs of the community.
• Organize and coordinate sacramental preparation programs, retreats, and special events.
• Manage the religious education budget and resources effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, and program outcomes.
• Stay current with developments in religious education and incorporate best practices.

• Proven experience as a Director Of Religious Education or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of religious education theories, catechetical methods, and faith formation.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team of educators and volunteers.
• Familiarity with the religious traditions and teachings relevant to the community.
• Proficient in managing program budgets and administrative tasks.
• Commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive faith environment.
