Pomeroy Living seeks an In Service Director to lead staff education, training, and compliance across our senior living community. This role designs, delivers, and tracks orientation and ongoing in-service programs for clinical and non-clinical team members, ensuring adherence to state, federal, and company standards. The In Service Director assesses training needs, maintains accurate records, supports survey readiness, and partners with department leaders to improve quality of care, safety, and resident experience in a resident-centered, compassionate, and professional environment. Design and deliver staff orientation and ongoing in-service training programs Assess staff competency and identify training needs across departments Ensure training content meets regulatory, accrediting, and company standards Maintain accurate training records and documentation for survey readiness Coordinate mandatory education on safety, infection control, and resident care Collaborate with nursing and operations leaders to support quality improvement Monitor and report training completion and compliance metrics Support new initiatives, policies, and procedures with targeted education Coach and mentor staff to reinforce best practices and service standards Participate in audits, surveys, and performance improvement meetings Staff education and training design Adult learning principles Regulatory compliance in long-term care Clinical documentation and record-keeping Quality improvement processes Presentation and facilitation Curriculum development Competency assessment Infection control basics Microsoft Office and LMS software Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license preferred Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) preferred CPR/BLS certification required or obtained upon hire Experience with state and federal long-term care regulations Training or educator background in healthcare settings5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386 read more
