GCM Special Accounts Manager IV - Public Finance - See below for other locations in the footprint

In this role you will lead high risk, distressed account issues within Global Capital Markets to identify and mitigate regulatory and litigation risks. You will guide complex analyses, document compliance actions, and mentor the team while coordinating with clients and service partners. You'll shape risk controls, drive policy improvements, and contribute to the growth and resilience of GCM. This is an opportunity to influence risk posture at scale and act as a trusted expert in complex financial transactions.

• Lead risk and regulatory compliance monitoring for assigned accounts
• Document and track issues per policies and guidelines
• Manage identified issues and mentor junior staff
• Analyze complex issues including governing documents and waterfall calculations
• Apply deep product and deal-structure knowledge to identify root causes and solutions
• Execute and oversee high-complexity account administration and negotiations
• Lead divisional projects on product development, service delivery, and policy updates
• Drive policy and process improvements; steer discussions toward issue resolution
• Enhance GCM control environment and client service model
• Represent GCM in important meetings, closings, and proceedings
• Maintain internal controls and respond to audit and regulatory findings
• Promote inclusive, belonging culture across the organization
• Complete other related duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree or 13 years of combined education/work experience
• Minimum 9 years of Global Capital Markets client service, product or market experience
• Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and industry software
• Extensive experience building waterfalls and debt service calculations
• Proven ability to read and interpret legal documents at a high level
• Capital Markets and Corporate Trust knowledge
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience handling difficult, high-stakes relationships with tact
• Significant experience managing high-risk issues threatening business
• Preferred: MBA or JD; CCTS certification
