Financial Consultant - Capital Finance - Eden Prairie, MN

In this role, you will oversee capital planning, governance, and performance reporting to support Optum Rx's capital portfolio ( $425M). You will serve as a liaison among business leaders, Finance, and governance bodies, ensuring adherence to standards and disciplined execution. You will develop financial models, assess initiatives, and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve forecasting, reporting, and capital efficiency, enabling better health outcomes. • Support development, prioritization, and execution of the capital plan
• Ensure alignment with enterprise capital governance standards and controls
• Provide visibility into capital investments, benefits realization, and financial outcomes
• Develop financial models and analyses for business cases and investment decisions
• Evaluate capital initiatives and deliver data-driven recommendations
• Manage capital forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis processes
• Deliver timely reporting to support decision-making and accountability
• Collaborate across functions to align capital priorities and performance expectations
• Enhance capital reporting frameworks and identify process improvements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 3+ years in financial planning & analysis, accounting, or related finance roles
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial systems
• Analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage complex financial processes and deliver actionable insights
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
