Temporary Highway Positions

The current temporary vacancies are in the Lake County Highway Department:

SALARY & POSITIONS:

• 67-Day Laborer - $18.00 per hour (3)
• 67-Day Industrial Mower Operators - $19.00 per hour (4)

CLOSING DATE: Open until filled; initial review March 13, 2026. Application must be on official Lake County application form. Resumes will be accepted, but not in lieu of application.

Ability to meet and maintain physical abilities including: sit, stand, reach, climb, balance, stoop, walk, kneel, crouch and crawl, wear personal protective equipment, lift, push, pull and move items, see, hear, and repetitive use of hands and fingers to operate tools, controls, and assigned equipment. Safety footwear required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possession of a valid Driver's license
• At least 18 years of age or a High School graduate
• Truck Driver: Class B Commercial Driver's license with no restrictions on Air Brakes or Manual Transmission
