We're partnering with an nationally respected engineering and consulting organization that is experiencing significant growth within its building envelope and specialty consulting division. This is a rare opportunity for an established professional to join a market-leading team, lead complex and high-profile projects, and play a key role in shaping the future growth of an already successful regional practice. What You'll Do Lead building envelope investigations, assessments, and consulting projects involving roofing, waterproofing, facades, windows, and exterior wall systems Conduct field investigations and condition assessments for new and existing buildings Evaluate building enclosure performance and identify sources of water intrusion, air leakage, condensation, and material deterioration Develop repair recommendations, rehabilitation strategies, and construction documents Prepare technical reports and present findings to owners, architects, contractors, attorneys, and other project stakeholders Provide forensic consulting and expert support related to building envelope failures and construction defect claims Oversee project execution from initial investigation through design, bidding, and construction administration Mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership across multiple projects Support business development efforts and cultivate long-term client relationships Help grow the Minnesota practice through the development of a strong book of business and market presence What We're Looking For 10-25 years of experience in Building Envelope Consulting, Building Science, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or related disciplines Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Professional licensure preferred (PE, RA, RRC, RRO, RBEC, or equivalent) Extensive experience with roofing, waterproofing, facades, exterior wall systems, and building enclosure performance Strong understanding of building science principles, moisture management, and enclosure design Experience conducting forensic investigations and preparing technical reports Proven ability to manage client relationships and generate new business opportunities Existing client network or book of business strongly preferred Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills Why Apply Join a nationally recognized consulting firm with a strong reputation for technical excellence and innovation Opportunity to lead complex building envelope and forensic consulting assignments across diverse project types Significant autonomy and influence within a growing practice Direct impact on the growth and strategic direction of the Minnesota office Access to multidisciplinary expertise and resources across a broad range of engineering specialties Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and long-term leadership opportunities If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, I'd love to connect.
