About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Accounting Operations Coordinator
• Pay Rate Range: $65,000.00-$80,000.00/salary
• Location: Minneapolis, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM
• Position Type: Direct Hire
Requirements and Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting operations, or a similar financial administrative role.
• Degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is helpful or considered an advantage, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Key Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of the accounts payable lifecycle.
• Familiarity with sales and use tax treatment on vendor purchases.
• Experience maintaining vendor documentation and W-9 records.
• Strong organizational and process management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and meet financial close deadlines.
• Professional communication skills for vendor and internal coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple operational responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment. Systems Experience
• ERP systems experience (Baseplan or similar).
• Document management systems (Docuware or similar).
• Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Office.
• Experience with payroll or HR systems (iSolved or similar) is an advantage.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience working in a small or mid-sized company environment where individuals manage multiple operational responsibilities and work across accounting and administrative functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Vendor Operations:
• Manage the full accounts payable lifecycle, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and documentation.
• Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
• Maintain accurate and organized AP records and documentation.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, required documentation, and payment inquiries.
• Review vendor invoices to ensure proper sales and use tax treatment.
• Support the month-end close process by adhering to cutoff and documentation standards.
HR & Benefits Administrative Support:
• Process and track employee benefits invoices.
• Assist with onboarding documentation and personnel record management.
• Support year-end compliance activities such as 1099s and 401k audit support.
