Self directed. Functions independently. Utilizes the nursing process. Demonstrates increasing discriminatory judgment in interpreting data and prioritizes appropriately. Initiates actions to improve nursing practice and patient care and unit processes. Serves as a day to day resource to colleagues at unit and department levels. Delegates tasks appropriately. Assumes preceptor responsibilities as needed. Utilizes appropriate hospital resources. Is a member of a collaborative care team who is responsible for providing tele-nursing care to a diverse population of critically ill adults across multiple ICUs within the SLHS.
