Psychiatrist & Medical Director South Central Montana Regional Mental Health Center Billings, Montana
South Central Montana Regional Mental Health Center (MHC) is seeking a mission-driven Medical Director & Psychiatrist to lead our psychiatric team and help shape the future of behavioral health care in one of the most scenic and underserved regions in the country. This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role while still practicing psychiatry in a meaningful, hands-on way. No bureaucracy, just purpose-driven care and real community impact.

In this role, youll guide a team of providers, oversee clinical operations, and play a key part in helping us re-establish MHC as a leading voice in regional mental health. Youll provide direct patient care (approximately 80% clinical), mentor future providers, and help expand programs like telehealth, jail diversion initiatives, and residency training partnerships. You will also be a visible leader in the community, strengthening relationships with healthcare systems, government agencies, and other mental health stakeholders.

MHC is actively investing in its future, including upgrading its EMR system and modernizing clinical operations. You wont just be inheriting a department. Youll be helping rebuild it and lead it into its next era.
