Director of Alternative Capacity Finance and Operations

In this role you will provide strategic financial governance and reporting oversight for multiple capacity platforms (reciprocal exchanges, sidecars, and alternative vehicles). You will build strong controls, align with regulatory and contractual requirements, and translate data into clear insights for leadership. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to enhance performance visibility and drive value creation. • Design governance frameworks and oversight processes for insurance capacity vehicles
• Establish and monitor controls around delegated authority, reporting, and operations
• Coordinate audits, regulatory exams, and third-party reviews
• Oversee SLAs and delegated authority standards to improve performance and consistency
• Identify operational risks and drive mitigation, process improvements, and control enhancements
• Lead financial operations across reciprocal exchanges, sidecars, captives, and alternative capacity vehicles
• Monitor key metrics (premium flow, revenue recognition, loss activity, reserves, reinsurance, collateral, expenses)
• Support month/quarter/year-end close and validate program data and KPIs
• Develop reporting packages for senior leadership translating data into insights
• Oversee cash management and trust accounts; align operations across MGAs, carriers, TPAs, reinsurers, and administrators
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and finance leadership to evaluate portfolio performance and capital efficiency
• Contribute to strategic planning for alternative capital deployment and program expansion
• Lead or support process automation, reporting enhancements, and scalability initiatives

• 5+ years in insurance, reinsurance, delegated authority, program business, or alternative risk environments
• Strong understanding of insurance operations and delegated authority models; reinsurance structures and settlements; alternative capital vehicles
• Experience in financial operations, reporting, reconciliations, and governance oversight
• Knowledge of statutory accounting principles and insurance financial reporting
• Proven cross-functional influence across finance, underwriting, actuarial, compliance, and external partners
• Analytical, organized, and project management-oriented with sound judgment
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting tool proficiency
