Director of Business Controls Transformation

In this Director role, you will lead enterprise change management for a large-scale risk and controls transformation within a global technology and operations environment. You will shape the change strategy, governance, and capability to drive adoption across multiple regions and risk workstreams. You'll partner with AI initiatives and executive leadership to ensure readiness and measurable impact. • Define and own the enterprise change management strategy, roadmap, and success metrics for a multi-year program
• Set up the change governance model with decision rights, escalation paths, and sponsorship framework
• Design an enterprise-wide change playbook scalable across risk signal workstreams and regions
• Present progress, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership
• Build and mentor the change management team and practitioners
• Coordinate change management with operational teams and enterprise stakeholders
• Architect target-state operating model changes across a global, matrixed tech organization
• Lead enterprise change strategy for risk governance, policy transformation, and education programs
• Define future-state risk identification, escalation, and remediation processes and drive adoption
• Design approaches to shift from audit-cycle to proactive, signal-driven risk management
• Lead changes for vendor governance, standards, self-identification, and cross-platform risk intelligence
• Assess AI impact on processes and advise leadership on readiness and workforce evolution
• Create executive communication strategies for AI-enabled changes and measure adoption metrics
• Partner with innovation to embed change in AI tool rollouts and automation projects
• Advise senior GTO leadership on change management matters across the transformation program
• Build executive relationships with CIOs, workstream owners, and enterprise partners
• Lead steering committee presentations, board-level summaries, and senior alignment discussions
• Represent the program in cross-enterprise forums and benchmarking
• Translate risk and controls concepts into compelling executive narratives
• Evolve from macro transformations to continuous change leadership across programs

• 12+ years in organizational change management or transformation leadership
• 5-8+ years in financial services or regulated industries, with at least 3 years in director-level role
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale change for technology and operations transformation
• Executive presence with ability to influence C-suite decisions
• Experience building and leading change management teams and capabilities
• Proven delivery of measurable outcomes through change management (adoption, productivity, risk reduction)
