Job Description:

BASIC FUNCTION: The server is responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to the guest. They must follow all service standards and procedures of the restaurant to maintain a positive guest experience.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred.
  • High volume experience.
  • Good food and beverage knowledge.
  • Customer centric focused on providing a positive guest experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous knowledge of POS systems preferred.
  • Must be able to work outdoors.
  • ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Engage with guest, ensure all orders for drinks and food are placed accurately.
  • Obtain an open communication with Culinary team for placing food orders. Ensure food and beverage orders are to guest expecations, adhering to any food allergies or concerns.
  • Promptly deliver all food and beverage orders to the guest. Should there be a delay in service, inform the guest in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all alcoholic beverages (wine, beer,etc.) and food menu items being served on property. Provide guidance and/or suggestions on different Food and Beverage items available at the property.
  • Collect cash from guest for food and beverages served, ensure proper change is being returned to the guest, ensure if guest is paying by credit cards maintain level of security. Ensure proper signatures are collected on credit card and room charges. Validating charges by providing guest with recipe of sale. Ensure accuracy when balancing all monies.
  • Responsible for following all end of shift cash handling procedure.
  • Responisble to ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant,the dining ware are presentable, clean and polished. (flatware,dishes, glasses, coffee cups, napkins, etc.)
  • Must be knowledgeable with the hotel amenities, venues and different facilities available on the property.
  • Assist in guest seating in a courtseous, professional manner.
  • Must demonstrate “Be the Difference” attitude with guest/employees.
  • Perfom any other job- related duties as mandated by supervisor or manager.

    Enviornment: Indoors, dimly lit, carpeted, climate controlled environment. Hard kitchen floors with occasional slippery or greasy areas. Handling hot china and silver. Outdoors, cement surfaces, with exposure to outdoor climate and elements.
