City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you’ll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You’ll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. City Year offers comprehensive training, leadership development, and exposure to education and youth development careers in a mission-driven, inclusive culture dedicated to advancing educational equity. Provide in-class academic and behavior support to students in partnership with teachers Deliver small-group and one-on-one tutoring in core subjects Track and report student progress using City Year tools and school data Support a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment Assist with school-wide events, after-school programs, and family engagement activities Collaborate with a diverse AmeriCorps team to plan and deliver student interventions Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development Model leadership, professionalism, and a commitment to social justice in the school community Student support and mentoring Lesson support and tutoring Classroom management assistance Data entry and progress tracking Communication with educators Community outreach Basic conflict resolution Time management Professional written communication Use of educational technology tools Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident Must have a high school diploma or equivalent by start date Ability to pass background checks required by City Year and school partners Commitment to completing a full term of AmeriCorps service Eligibility for AmeriCorps as defined by federal regulations5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
