Medical Billing & Collections Representative

Location: Marlton, NJ (On-site)

Pay: $24 – $25 per hour — Salary BOE

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Our Client in Marlton, NJ is seekingMedical Billing & Collections Representatives with 4+ years of medical billing and medical collections experience. This Temp to Hire role involves contacting insurance companies, submitting and following up on claims, and managing patient collections for copays and deductibles. Candidates must have hands-on experience with Availity

Key Responsibilities

• Call insurance companies to verify claim status and resolve outstanding issues.
• Submit claims electronically and by mail as needed.
• Use insurance portals—including Availity (required)—to follow up on claims.
• Handle patient collections for copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
• Process outpatient billing (OT, PT, Speech Therapy) and inpatient hospital claims.
• Maintain accurate documentation and account follow-ups.
• Communicate professionally with patients, insurers, and internal staff.

Candidate Requirements

• 4+ years of medical billing and medical collections experience required.
• Availity experience required.
• Experience with Pear, Echo, and InstaMed preferred
• Strong understanding of claim submission and insurance follow-up processes.
• Pediatric billing experience a plus.
• Knowledge of outpatient and inpatient billing workflows.
• Strong communication, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities.
