Punch List Technician / Jobsite Support

Location: Chatham, NJ

JTS Build & Design is a Northern New Jersey residential builder known for elegant homes, warm natural materials, and a modern design approach tailored to families. The company is growing and looking for dependable field support professionals who care about craftsmanship, cleanliness, organization, and doing things right.

JTS Build & Design is looking for a Punch List Technician / Jobsite Support team member to help keep residential jobsites clean, organized, safe, and ready for daily progress. This person will support the production team by handling site cleanup, material organization, minor repairs, punch-list tasks, supply runs, and general jobsite readiness.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, practical, and willing to do what needs to be done to keep projects moving. This is not an office project management role. It is a field-based role for someone who takes pride in being useful, staying busy, keeping jobsites under control, and helping the team deliver high-quality homes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and close jobsites as needed
• Keep active jobsites clean, organized, and presentable
• Separate, organize, and track leftover materials on site
• Move materials, tools, and supplies to the appropriate areas
• Help control material waste and avoid unnecessary purchases
• Complete punch list tasks and small repairs as assigned
• Support site prep before trades, inspections, client visits, and project milestones
• Run local errands for materials, supplies, or jobsite needs
• Assist with basic carpentry, finish work, hardware, touch-ups, and minor field tasks
• Help ensure each job site is safe, secure, and ready for the next trade
• Communicate jobsite needs, issues, photos, and updates to leadership
• Support the Superintendent, Project Manager, and production team as needed
• Step in wherever practical help is needed to keep the project moving

Qualifications:

• Hands-on residential construction, carpentry, handyman, punch list, or field support experience
• Comfortable working on active residential jobsites
• Ability to clean, organize, lift, move materials, and stay physically active throughout the day
• Basic knowledge of tools, materials, and residential construction workflow
• Ability to complete small repairs, touch-ups, and punch list items with care
• Strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions
• Good judgment and pride in keeping jobsites clean and professional
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Authorized to work legally in the U.S.
• Spanish language skills are a plus for communicating with crews
• Ability to work a full-time schedule, Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed

Pay and Benefits:

• Full-Time, W-2 employment
• Estimated pay range: $55,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience
