Overview

In this role you will lead IT-focused financial planning and governance for a Fortune 500 service company. You will partner with IT and finance to develop multi-year plans, forecast performance, and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting. You will shape cost models, allocate IT costs, and drive SOX control effectiveness and compliance initiatives. The position offers influence over budgeting, audits, and cross-functional cost optimization, contributing to scalable IT services and financial integrity.

Responsibilities
  • Develop annual consolidated business plans with pro-forma statements for constituent entities
  • Produce regular financial reporting and GAAP-compliant statements
  • Forecast performance against plans and design corrective actions
  • Create annual audit and risk plans with external auditors focusing on high-risk areas
  • Review internal controls under SOX 404 on a rotating basis to ensure effectiveness
  • Collaborate with corporate sub-teams to track remediation of audit findings
  • Develop annual compliance plan and manage compliance training programs
  • Develop IT budgets (capital and operating) and cost models for development, operations, hardware/software, third-party spend, data centers, and consolidation
  • Develop and use IT service cost and allocation models across multi-unit organization
  • Build corporate and project financial models and communicate multi-year financial impact of IT activities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory guidelines (SOX 404, COBIT) and IT governance frameworks
  • Lead IT operations models and support organization redesign with a shared IT services view
  • Support global IT resource deployment including offshore regions and information clearance processes
  • Manage a team with goal setting, performance management, and staff development
Key requirements
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience
  • strong US GAAP accounting knowledge
  • ERP and IT systems implementations experience
  • ability to develop corporate and project financial models
  • experience with IT budgeting and cost models
  • experience with IT cost and allocation models (Apptio is helpful)
