The Science Team at Pride Health is currently supporting a client in the pharmaceutical industry and is having the Technical Writer in Branchburg, NJ
Position Summary:
The Technical Writer is responsible for the end-to-end development, writing, editing, and maintenance of Instructions for Use (IFUs) and technical labeling for complex molecular diagnostic products. This role focuses on translating scientific and technical information into clear, compliant, and user-friendly documentation for laboratory professionals and clinicians while ensuring alignment with global regulatory requirements.
Additional Details:
Pay range: $25 - $28/hour on W2 as per your experience
Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extension
Hybrid (3 days on site, 2 days remote)
Key Responsibilities:

• Create, revise, and maintain Instructions for Use (IFUs) and Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) for molecular diagnostic products.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Word capabilities to manage complex document formatting, including nested numbering, cross-references, integrated tables, and multilingual layouts.
• Perform detailed proofreading and technical editing to ensure scientific accuracy, consistency, grammar, unit conversions, symbol usage, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure documentation aligns with ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IVDR, and other applicable regulatory standards.
• Manage the complete document lifecycle within an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), including drafting, review, approval, revision control, and archival processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with subject matter experts, regulatory, quality, manufacturing, and other stakeholders to gather and validate technical content.
• Support translation coordination and review activities for IFUs and product labeling as needed.
• Independently manage multiple documentation projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education in a scientific discipline, technical writing, or related technical field.
• 2-4 years of experience in technical writing within the Medical Device or In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) industry.
• Experience developing and editing IFUs and technical labeling documentation.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word.
• Experience working with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS/eDMS).
• Excellent proofreading, editing, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements including IVDR and FDA documentation standards.
• Ability to identify discrepancies within large and complex datasets.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
