Water Treatment Plant Operator

Our client, a leading organization in water treatment and infrastructure management, is seeking a dedicated Water Treatment Plant Operator to join their team. As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you will be an integral part of the operations team supporting the maintenance and safety of water treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and operational excellence, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:

What's the Job?

• Operate and maintain equipment within a team environment to ensure optimal water treatment processes.
• Monitor and inspect equipment, execute maintenance programs, and improve mechanical equipment uptime.
• Maintain detailed logs of operations, safety activities, test results, and equipment malfunctions.
• Oversee safety protocols, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines.
• Manage inventory, prepare purchase requests, and oversee contractor activities within the water treatment plant.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of an N-1 water license issued by the State of New Jersey.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders/scaffolding, and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and professionalism.
