We are seeking an accomplished Principal Enterprise Architect – Quality Engineering to lead enterprise-wide modernization initiatives at the intersection of AI-driven engineering, intelligent automation, and next-generation software quality within the financial services and banking domain. This is a strategic, hands-on architecture leadership opportunity for a technology visionary who can redefine traditional Quality Assurance, establish enterprise-scale Quality Engineering frameworks, and embed AI-powered testing and deterministic validation throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The mission is clear: architect the shift from traditional testing to intelligent, specification-driven, AI-enabled Quality Engineering at enterprise scale. Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ — 5 Days Onsite Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent Level: Principal / Enterprise Architecture Leadership THE OPPORTUNITY | KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Enterprise Quality Engineering Strategy: Define and drive the architectural vision for modern, scalable, AI-enabled Quality Engineering across complex technology ecosystems. AI-Driven Engineering & Automation: Integrate AI-assisted development, intelligent test generation, AI agents, and automated quality validation throughout the SDLC. Spec-Driven Design (SDD): Establish enterprise methodologies that align specifications, development, and deterministic validation for both human-written and AI-generated code. Enterprise Automation Architecture: Design modular, reusable, end-to-end automation frameworks spanning UI, APIs, middleware, backend services, and mobile applications. Technical Governance & Engineering Excellence: Establish architecture standards, lead design reviews, evaluate automation technologies, and ensure maintainability, reliability, and compliance with engineering best practices. Strategic Stakeholder Leadership: Collaborate with business and technology executives to translate modernization objectives into actionable architecture roadmaps and measurable outcomes. Engineering Enablement: Mentor technical teams and establish consistent automation practices, tool integrations, and delivery standards across Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD environments. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE | REQUIRED EXPERTISE We are looking for a seasoned architect who brings deep technical expertise, enterprise-level perspective, and a proven record of Quality Engineering transformation. Core Technical Expertise 15 years of experience in enterprise test automation, automation architecture, and large-scale Quality Engineering transformation. Strong hands-on proficiency in Playwright and TypeScript , with experience in Spec-Driven Design (SDD), BDD, and Cucumber . Strong experience with .NET Core / .NET Framework applications and API automation using Rest Assured or RestSharp . Practical expertise with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Gemini , including reviewing, debugging, validating, and optimizing AI-generated automation code. Experience architecting enterprise automation frameworks across UI, API, backend, middleware, and mobile platforms. Expertise in Appium and cloud-based mobile testing platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Perfecto. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD, and enterprise automation tool integration. Financial Services Domain Expertise Strong experience across core banking, deposits, treasury, credit cards, transaction processing, and payments . Experience supporting large-scale modernization and digital transformation programs within complex enterprise environments. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to Applitools, Zephyr, Xray, AssertThat BDD, and service virtualization. Experience establishing enterprise-wide engineering standards, architectural governance, and reusable automation methodologies. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. WHY THIS ROLE?
