Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist at the Fords QC Lab is responsible in safeguarding the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all quality assurance activities within a fast paced manufacturing environment. The main responsibilities of this position include:

• Creates MOCs for new products, new laboratory instruments, new personnel, and updates to controlled documents
• Determine the quality status of materials stored in tanks and maintain all associated records
• Determine the quality status of all finished products packaged in drums, totes, pails, cans, and other container types
• Communicate material status to the Shipping and Packaging Department via email, LIMS, or phone in a timely manner
• Maintains ISO documentation on the network drive and in SharePoint
• Provide support for external audits
• Assist the Head of Quality Assurance with LIMS and SAP QM master data setup
• Prepare internal and external waivers for batches that do not meet internal or customer specifications
• Handle and process sample orders

Experience / Skills Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in quality management systems. Ability to analyze test results and identify discrepancies or trends. Strong attention to detail for maintaining QA lab records and ISO documentation. Strong general computer skills (Microsoft Office, file management, and digital recordkeeping). Clear verbal communication for interacting with production, warehousing, and third-party labs.
