Interstate Waste Services is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to drive growth across the greater New York and New Jersey area. In this field-based role, you will prospect and close new commercial and industrial customers while expanding relationships with existing accounts. You’ll conduct site visits, assess waste and recycling needs, and propose safe, reliable service solutions that support cleaner, more sustainable communities. Working closely with operations and customer service, you’ll ensure on-time, safety-first performance. Prospect, qualify, and close new commercial and industrial waste and recycling accounts within an assigned territory Manage and grow relationships with existing customers to maximize retention and revenue Conduct on-site customer visits to assess service needs and propose tailored collection and recycling solutions Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and pricing in line with company guidelines Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and customer service to ensure safe, reliable service delivery Track sales activities, pipeline, and results using CRM tools and report on territory performance Monitor market trends, competitors, and local regulations impacting waste and recycling services Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales and revenue targets B2B sales Territory management Prospecting and lead generation Contract negotiation CRM software Presentation skills Waste and recycling industry knowledge Customer relationship management Data analysis and reporting Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid driver’s license with clean driving record OSHA or safety training certifications a plus Sales or account management certifications a plus5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
