Nealy Pierce, LLC is partnering with a leading hospital to hire an Occupational Therapist for its Acute Rehab Unit. In this role, you will deliver evidence-based evaluations and treatments to help patients regain independence, safety, and function following illness, injury, or surgery. You’ll develop individualized care plans, provide ADL retraining, recommend adaptive equipment, and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and PTs on discharge planning. You’ll document in the EMR, participate in team conferences and quality initiatives, and help shape a patient-centered, outcomes-driven rehab environment. Provide evidence-based occupational therapy evaluations and treatments for patients on the acute rehab unit Develop and adjust individualized care plans to restore function, independence, and safety in daily activities Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PTs, and interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive techniques, and use of assistive devices Document assessments, progress notes, and outcomes in the EMR in a timely, compliant manner Participate in team conferences, goal setting, and quality improvement initiatives Mentor therapy support staff and contribute to a positive, patient-centered unit culture Occupational therapy evaluation and treatment planning Acute rehabilitation clinical skills Functional mobility and ADL retraining Neurologic and orthopedic rehab techniques EMR documentation and clinical reporting Interdisciplinary care coordination Patient and family education Discharge planning and home safety assessment Assistive device and adaptive equipment training Quality improvement and outcome measurement Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active state Occupational Therapist (OT) license NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) BLS/CPR certification Experience in acute rehab or inpatient rehabilitation setting preferred5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
