Business Manager

The Business Manager leads with a focus on customer service and relationship-building through the embodiment of Bergdorf Goodman's foundational Service Values: Excellence, Imagination & Graciousness. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of both the departments and vendor's goals. You inspire performance, drives sales growth, and fosters a collaborative culture that delivers exceptional client experience while upholding the highest standards of luxury retail.

Promotes the vision and culture of the brand while championing Bergdorf Goodman values on a consistent basis

Develops and achieves business goals by partnering with Bergdorf Goodman leadership, merchant teams, and brand partners to devise creative and strategic solutions that drive sales growth

In partnership with Selling Leaders, develops and executes strategies to achieve sales goals through both home-base and "out-of-home-base" selling teams, including sales volume and defined KPIs

Partners cross-functionally to support seasonal buy execution, key deadlines, and ongoing business initiatives

Collaborates with brand visual partners, as needed, to ensure alignment with brand standards and business objectives

Partners to collate business recaps and performance insights, communicating results to key stakeholders through executive summaries and seller communications

Ensures delivery of a superior client experience that aligns with both brand and Bergdorf Goodman service standards

Creates and implements client strategies with a clear vision for an emerging VIC program within Bergdorf Goodman

Develops and supports strategies for the growth, development, and retention of existing VIC client relationships

Supports execution and partnership between Bergdorf Goodman and the brand on all client-facing events and experiential activations

Serves as a visible brand ambassador on the selling floor, modeling elevated service behaviors and client engagement

Builds strong, collaborative relationships with Bergdorf Goodman leadership, merchant partners, and brand teams

Supports alignment across selling, merchandising, and client development initiatives

35 years of experience in luxury retail, brand management, or a client-focused business role

Bachelor's degree preferred

Proven ability to support business growth and achieve defined performance targets

Strong client engagement and relationship-building skills

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Strategic mindset with attention to detail

Collaborative, "win together" mentality

Proficiency in Google Suite and retail systems

Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 10 pounds

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs

The starting salary for this position is between $70,915.45 $88,644.31 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for bonus.
