We’re working with an impressive, fundamentally-driven long/short investment platform that is looking to hire an Equity Analyst to build and lead coverage of the Business Services sector . This is a high-ownership opportunity for someone who wants to own a sector carve-out from the ground up rather than inherit an established coverage list. The successful candidate will have significant autonomy across idea generation, fundamental research, modeling, and investment recommendations, with direct exposure to the investment team and the ability to shape the firm's approach to the space. The opportunity: Lead and develop Business Services coverage across a defined sector carve-out Build the investment framework, identify differentiated long/short opportunities, and develop actionable investment theses Own the full research process, including company and industry research, financial modeling, channel work, valuation, and variant perception Generate ideas independently and present investment recommendations directly to senior investment professionals Develop relationships with management teams, industry contacts, and other relevant sources Take meaningful ownership of the portfolio construction process and ongoing monitoring of positions Help build out the firm's broader expertise and presence in the Business Services space Ideal background: Strong fundamental investing background, ideally within long/short public equities Experience covering Business Services or adjacent sectors Proven ability to develop differentiated investment views and generate actionable ideas Strong modeling and analytical capabilities Intellectual curiosity, strong communication skills, and a high degree of ownership Someone who is excited by the opportunity to build a coverage universe and take real responsibility for a sector This is particularly compelling for an investor who wants more ownership, direct investment-team exposure, and the opportunity to build something rather than simply maintain an existing coverage book.5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
