Director of SCL Finance & Administration

As Director of Finance and Administration, you partner with unit leaders to steward a $130M operating budget, aligning financial planning with campus life goals. You oversee reporting, analytics, internal controls, and capital planning across complex divisions, serving as a key strategic conduit to HR, IT, Facilities and other service teams. You drive forward-looking strategies, performance metrics, and cross-functional collaboration to support student and campus life initiatives. This role offers impact at scale within a prestigious university setting.

• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and reporting for assigned divisions
• Coordinate capital planning and long-range financial forecasting
• Serve as primary finance partner to unit leaders and business managers
• Ensure internal controls, general accounting, and compliance
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with HR, IT, Facilities, and other service teams
• Provide data analytics, trend analyses, and key metrics to aid decision-making
• Support procurement, payments, and travel processing via SSC agreements
• Act as backup to Sr. Director and engage with senior leadership as needed

• Master's degree in a relevant field; at least 5 years of professional experience
• Experience in strategic financial planning and high-volume environments
• Proficiency with complex financial databases and reporting
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Team leadership and ability to advance inclusive, collaborative culture
• Experience implementing new systems, policies, and change management
• Experience with budgeting practices and working with auditors (preferred)
