Music & Arts seeks a Strings Teacher for our retail store, guiding students of all ages in violin, viola, cello, or bass. You’ll deliver engaging individual or group lessons, assess progress, and tailor instruction to diverse learning styles. In-store, you’ll support customers with instrument selection, rentals, and accessories, collaborating with sales and school service teams. This role blends teaching, customer service, and community engagement in a student-focused environment, offering growth within a national leader in music retail and education. Provide individual and small-group strings lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels Develop lesson plans that build technique, musicianship, and music theory skills Assess student progress and communicate feedback to students and parents Support customers with string instrument, rental, and accessory selection Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming studio and sales floor environment Collaborate with store staff to promote lessons, recitals, and local school partnerships Use POS and scheduling systems to manage student enrollment, payments, and calendars Prepare students for performances, auditions, and school ensemble participation Participate in community outreach to support music education and build enrollment Uphold Music & Arts’ student-focused, inclusive, and service-driven culture Strings pedagogy Music theory Classroom/lesson management Customer service Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Instrument tuning and basic setup Lesson scheduling Communication Student progress assessment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Teaching credential or music education coursework preferred Background in violin, viola, cello, or bass performance Prior lesson instruction or classroom teaching experience Comfort using POS and scheduling systems5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
