OR Nurse Manager - Neurosurgery

A leading academic medical center on Long Island is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to oversee a Neurosurgery service line within a high-acuity perioperative environment.

This leadership role is responsible for the clinical, operational, and administrative oversight of the neurosurgical operating room, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for neurosurgical operating room operations
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance of perioperative personnel
• Collaborate with neurosurgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and NYS DOH standards
• Monitor quality metrics and drive performance improvement initiatives
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and evidence-based practice

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's preferred
• Active New York State RN license
• Minimum 6 years of perioperative / operating room experience
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• CNOR certification
• ACLS certification
• Experience supporting neurosurgical procedures (cranial and/or spine)
