Join the Department of Surgery at Unity Hospital as a part-time Surgical Hospitalist Physician Assistant. Provide autonomous clinical care for hospitalized surgical patients during evening, overnight and weekend shifts, evaluate consults, perform bedside procedures and collaborate with attending surgeons. Provide on-site coverage for surgical patients during assigned shifts. Assess and manage surgical patients, escalating significant changes to attending surgeons. Respond to and evaluate in-house surgical consults. Perform bedside procedures and treatments within scope of practice. Assist with emergency care and cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and maintain timely clinical documentation.
