Nocturnist - Hospitalist (New York)

Position type: Full‑Time. Department: Hospitalist: Internal Medicine. Location: NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx, 3424 Kossuth Avenue, Bronx, NY 10467. Salary range: $241,000 – $246,000.

• Full‑time position in a group of 3 with scheduling flexibility.
• Primary responsibility for the care and management of patients admitted to the General Medicine Service, or remaining in the emergency department awaiting a bed, with consultation provided by specialists as necessary.
• Provides attending oversight to the medicine service, supervising trainees and responding to clinical changes and emergencies.
• Spends 100 % of time in clinical activities, including supervision of residents and clinical projects.

• License to practice medicine in the State of New York.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Prior Hospitalist experience preferred.

Annual base salary: $241,000* (board eligible) and $246,000* (board certified) based on a 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $360,620** (board eligible) and $366,120** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors.

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week: $55,520.
• Projected bonus up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) company contribution (subject to IRS limits):
  • Immediately vested in a 3 % company contribution of base earnings; no employee match required.
  • After one year of service, additional 7 % company contribution of base earnings; no employee match required.
• Annual CME reimbursement.
