Role Overview
We are looking for a Columbus Shop Manager to serve as the local anchor for our Short North brand. In this role, you'll blend floral design with retail operations, personally delivering high-quality service while mentoring a team to do the same. This isn't just a management role; it's a leadership position dedicated to turning floral transactions into memorable experiences.
Responsibilities:
Exemplary Customer Experience
- The Gold Standard: Serve as the primary face of the Columbus shop, ensuring every guest is welcomed warmly and guided through the Flower Bar experience with enthusiasm.
Floral Operations & Design
- Order Fulfillment: Oversee and fulfill daily orders for pickup and delivery, ensuring every arrangement meets our signature brand standards.
- Freshness & Quality: Lead the processing of fresh stems and maintain the Flower Bar to ensure maximum health and beauty.
- Logistics: Coordinate with delivery drivers or make deliveries personally to ensure timely and professional arrival.
Store & Team Management
- Operations: Manage floral and retail inventory, wholesale orders, and store budgets.
- Staffing: Provide support in hiring, training, and scheduling to ensure the shop is always fully prepared to serve our guests.
- Events: Act as the lead host and coordinator for in-store workshops and private parties.
- Team Leadership: Train and hold staff accountable for providing "Blossom-level" service. You are responsible for the team's tone, body language, and hospitality.
- Professional Communication: Manage phone, email, and in-person inquiries with grace. You are the point person for resolving concerns, turning challenges into opportunities for customer loyalty.
Requirements and Experience
- Experience: 2+ years in Retail Management and 2+ years in high-end Customer Service (Required).
- Leadership: Proven ability to train a team in hospitality and sales.
- Licensing: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record (Required).
- Floral Skills: Experience is a plus, but not required—we provide thorough design training for the right hospitality leader.
